Restora Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you (the business using Restora) and Declan Lohan, trading as B-Side Apps, in Ireland ("we", "us"). By connecting Restora to your Square account you agree to them.

1. The service

Restora backs up your Square item library and lets you restore items, categories, option lists and taxes that were deleted or changed. It backs up each change as Square reports it, and takes a full copy every night.

Restora is for businesses only. You must be authorised to connect the Square account you use.

2. What Restora doesn't do

• It doesn't back up customers, sales, payments, staff, timecards or stock counts.
• A restored item comes back as a new item in Square. Its past sales stay attached to the old item in Square's reports. Restora shows a warning about this before every restore.
• Restora only changes your Square item library when you click Restore. It never changes it on its own.
• Backups depend on Square sending change notices and keeping its service available. The nightly copy catches anything missed during the day, but we can't guarantee every change between two nightly copies is captured.

3. Free trial

New shops get a 14-day free trial. A card is needed to start it. You won't be charged if you cancel before it ends. Each Square account gets one free trial.

4. Price and payment

• Restora costs [€12 / $12 / £10 / A$19 / C$17] a month, or 10 times the monthly price a year, depending on your currency.
• Billing is handled by Stripe, in advance, and renews automatically until you cancel.
• Prices include or exclude tax as shown at checkout.
• We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change. It applies from your next renewal after that.

5. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and email you, and Restora keeps backing up during that time. If payment still fails after the retries, your subscription ends and section 7 applies.

6. Cancelling

• Cancel from the billing page in your dashboard: Restora keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops.
• Disconnect Restora in Square: your subscription ends immediately.
• There are no refunds for part of a billing period, unless the law requires one.

7. After your subscription ends

Backups stop. Your saved history, copies and photos are deleted 30 days later. If you want any of it, contact us before then. If you come back after it's deleted, Restora starts again from a fresh backup.

8. Your responsibilities

• Keep access to your Square account secure, because anyone who can approve apps in it can log in to Restora.
• Check the result in Square after a restore.
• Use Restora only for your own business, and in line with these terms and the law.

9. Your data

Your data stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to provide Restora, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Terms.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Restora running all the time, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or problems outside our control, including at Square, Stripe or our hosting providers. We may improve or change features. If we remove something you rely on, we'll tell you in advance.

We can suspend or end your access if you don't pay, or if you break these terms. Where we can, we'll warn you first.

11. Liability

• Restora is a safety net, not a replacement for running your business carefully.
• We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost time.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Square

Restora is an independent app. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Square or Block, Inc. "Square" is a trademark of Block, Inc. Your use of Square is governed by Square's own terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We'll email you at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

14. Law

These terms are governed by Irish law, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction.
